(ANSA) - MEXICO CITY, MAY 29 - A firefight between agents of the national police and a group of suspected criminals ended yesterday in Mexico with a toll of ten dead, members of a gang, and at least five policemen wounded.
The Minister of Security of the State of Nuevo León, Gerardo Palacios, reports the news portal Informador.mx, confirmed that the attack on the police department took place along the federal highway to Nuevo Laredo, a city in the neighboring state of Tamaulipas.
"Police personnel - assured Palacios via Twitter - were attacked by gunfire from people moving aboard three armored trucks", which were eventually seized. (ANSA).
