The popularity of the cult series of HBO Succession pushes up the real estate market: brokers bet on the mystique of the Roy clan, a family with long knives freely inspired by that of Rupert Murdoch, to sell apartments and houses for tens of millions of dollars in which scenes were set in which the three Kendall brothers, Siobhan and Roman struggle to inherit their father Logan's media empire.
Roman's apartment in season four is a two-story penthouse on Amsterdam Avenue on the Upper West Side: fans of the show accompanied Kieran Culkin, who plays the role of the youngest of the Roys, in a recent episode in which he brushes his teeth in the bathroom in the aftermath of a devastating plot development. After four seasons goodbye to Succession - Lifestyle

Condolences to Succession fans: opened for the last time by the hypnotic theme song of Nicholas Britell, the award-winning HBO series (in Italy broadcast on Sky) about the ultra-rich family of Logan Roy has come to an end after almost five years. (ANSA)

Two other Succession locations are currently on the market: in the second season Ronan lived in a Chelsea townhouse now offered for 22.5 million after an initial placement of 24.5, while for the penthouse on the Upper East Side where his brother Kendall (Jeremy String) cries during the season that is about to end the asking price is 29.5: the address is 180 East 88th Street between Third Avenue and Madison.
Real estate agencies hope that the magic of Succession, a show that sparks a love-hate relationship in many viewers, will push them to buy trophy properties in an otherwise stagnant market.
"Someone called me with a good offer saying he had seen the series," Lila Nejad, an agent for Douglas Elliman, who deals with the sale of Ronan's Chelsea home, told The New York Times. The townhouse, however, is still on the market, rented to a tenant who pays one hundred thousand dollars a month to live in six floors of opulence: inside there is a cinema screening room, a private garage and a small swimming pool where you swim against the resistance of the water.
Meanwhile, for those who cannot or want to afford the purchase of the apartments of the series, there is always the subtle pleasure of finding locations: the sumptuous house of patriarch Logan Roy on Fifth Avenue has been rebuilt in the studio, but the entrance to the building is that of the American Irish Historical Society. Other scenes were filmed at the Pierre and Plaza, while the stag set of Logan's son-in-law, Tom Wambsgans, is the East New York Freight Tunnel in Brooklyn. Scenes were shot, in the second season, also in Italy, between Villa Cetinale in Sovicille, Villa La Foce in Val d'Orcia, the village of Bagno Vignoni and Cortona, while Villa La Cassinella on Lake Como is the backdrop to the confrontation between Ronan Roy and the founder of GoJo, Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard).
The award-winning HBO series that explores the themes of power and family dynamics is about to come to an end: composed of 10 new episodes and broadcast exclusively in Italy on Sky and streaming only on Now, it was created by Jesse Armstrong, a former British journalist who knows the world of media very well.
