They drove from Bahía Blanca to General Villegas and even loaded naphtha on the way. The father's story.

It was 9 a.m. on Saturday when a 12-year-old boy got up from sleep and told one of his two sisters that he "wanted to go see his little girl." He took 10,450 pesos from the father and escaped with the car from Bahía Blanca to General Villegas. Before taking the road and traveling <> kilometers, he went to pick up a classmate from school.

Two days before the episode that began as a prank and ended up paralyzing the city, the boy had asked his dad to teach him how to drive. They took a walk in a field near the house. But the worst happened over the weekend.

On Friday night, they stayed watching movies late. When he got up the next day, the father did not find his son. One of his other daughters told him that he had messaged on WhatsApp with a "noviecita" from Villegas, where the family used to live.

According to Juan, the child's father, they lived in a town in Villegas until they moved to Bahía Blanca. She knew her friend from those times. Then, the boy grabbed the father's wallet and took out 10,<> pesos in cash. Afterward, he took the key to the black Volkswagen Gol and left. He went to find a friend of the same age and set out on the journey en route.

It was a journey I knew. "I worked at Tres Algarrobos. We came and went continuously," explains Juan, in dialogue with La Brújula 24 FM 93.1. Earlier this year, the man said he had to resign to take care of his children because their mother abandoned them and went to Santa Fe.

With that information and the information that he was going to meet a friend of Villegas, the man presented himself to the police. However, the boy managed to get there without anyone stopping him on the way.

"I'm very angry with security because they spend money and money on cameras and I don't understand how they didn't see anything. I even told them they could have gone to Villegas' side," he said.

The man was also upset by a situation that occurred along the way. His son and friend braked at a gas station to load gasoline.

"I don't understand how a gas station sold gasoline to a minor. I spoke with the one who charged him, in Don Bosco and the canal, and he says that they cannot do anything because it does not correspond to them," he said.

Finally, the boys were found by agents of the 6th Precinct, in a joint work with General Villegas personnel.

"Now I'm a little calmer, knowing that the baby is fine and that this didn't happen to adults. It could have ended in misfortune," said the father of the boy who escaped with the car.

Asked if there was a similar background, he remarked: "He was used to walking with me everywhere and driving karting. But I never let him walk alone or to the corner. I don't understand what he did. He's polite, everyone in the neighborhood loves him."

And he pointed out about the separation with his mother: "He has everything here even though the mother left. That affected him a lot, he misses her. He's 12 years old, he's at the age of rebellion."

Finally, he said that he still could not talk to his son because he was in the care of specialists since "since his mother abandoned him we have some legal things and all that."

"He told the police, 'My dad is going to kill me because I took his car.' He knows he sent it big. He is aware. That's why he's scared. So now he wants to go to the mother. He knows he sent a shit and could have killed someone," Juan concluded.
