Jump into the water at noon

After eating cherries, you can go for a dip in one of the many springs in the area. One of the recommended isEin Sajmehwhich is located in the old Massuot Yitzhak forest, a short drive from the settlement of Bat Ayin and Kibbutz Kfar Etzion. Comfortable stairs will lead us to a water fountain and a wonderful pool. The spring originates on the slope of the Sajmeh stream, also known as "Wadi Paradise". The water is clean all year round and the water level in the pool - about 1.5 meters. There are shaded seating tables. You can drive up to the spring.

Just below Ein Sajama is theDubek Pool. The place was built in memory of the late Dov Weinstock, who was one of the pioneers of settlers in Gush Etzion after the Six-Day War.

Another spring worth reaching is'Ein Abu Kalab, where water flows slowly but steadily from between the rock layers and accumulates into a hewn pool. The place is also called 'Ein Mesela' after a rock nucleus of Hashomer Hatzair who established the settlement of Revadim in Gush Etzion before the establishment of the State. The spring was renovated by the children of the Shiluv workshop.

Climbing wall, wineries, ATVs, chocolate and animals

Right next to the springs, in a natural forest overlooking a breathtaking view of the Ella Valley, is the "Deer Land Farm" with a variety of attractions from various fields: huge wildlife, petting and feeding corners, some of the largest and most impressive extreme sports facilities in Israel such as climbing walls, a 360-degree swing, 4x4 field trips and the longest zipline in the country, 400 meters long, passing 120 meters above a spectacular canyon.

In addition, you will find in Gush Etzion a wide range of workshops suitable for the whole family, including a cheese making workshop, for chocolate, bread, carpentry, ceramics and more. Animal lovers will find here a horse farm where you can ride and even a place that raises exotic and rare animals such as power lizards and tarantulas.

You can also tour the Gush Etzion winery located in the heart of Gush Etzion surrounded by vineyards. In the winery's visitor center you can see the winemaking process and enjoy tastings. There is also a dairy restaurant with a rich and tasty menu. If you are a beer and alcohol lover, you should know that on June 29, 6, the Tekoa Beer Festival will take place for the 23th time, in which breweries from the area, various food stands, a show of Sakharof bars and then a party into the night will take place. Only 8 years and older are allowed (children up to 18 years old are allowed) and first beer is free.

"Gush Etzion has so much to offer from all aspects, including tourism: it has everything here, extreme sports and shopping, gourmet food and self-picking, nature and heritage, which together make a visit to the area an unforgettable experience. What do we say? Everything that is good is close," concludes Ne'eman.
