(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, MAY 31 - American actor Danny Masterson, star of the TV series 'That '70s show', has been found guilty by a Los Angeles jury of two on three counts of rape. He now faces up to 30 years in prison.
He was accused by three women, all former members of the Church of Scientology, of which Masterson was a prominent exponent: a circumstance that, according to the prosecution, would have helped him to avoid any form of responsibility. The disputed incidents allegedly took place at his home in Hollywood between 2001 and 2003.
A previous jury was unable to reach the verdict in December 2022, but prosecutors insisted on new evidence, which led to a second trial. (ANSA).
