The fantasy fiction, launched four years ago on TF 1 in France, knows this Friday, June 2 its denouement on the American platform

The Way of the Cross of the heroes of "Manifest" is coming to an end. In this American series, the passengers of Montego Air Flight 828, flying from Jamaica to New York in April 2013, landed five and a half years after takeoff, without having aged. All then began to hear voices, to receive telepathic messages, "calls" often pushing them to save people. A group of miraculous, just like the series itself that was saved by Netflix after being initially canceled by its original American channel, NBC.

The Stone family, whose members are the main characters of this fiction, spent months and years investigating the paranormal phenomena that affected them, understanding that it was a divine consciousness that was at work. They also discovered that beyond all the passengers who seemed doomed to die on the same day, June 2, 2024, this date would more radically sign the end of the world! The release schedule of the final ten episodes of the series on Netflix, this June 2, 2023, is therefore far from trivial.

On screen, we find the heroes in bad shape: most of those who were on the plane of flight 828, are now imprisoned in a detention center. The U.S. government treats them as a threat to society. Haunted by the death of her husband at the end of the first part of this season 4, Michaela Stone is particularly depressed, having difficulty considering a positive outcome in this story.

The series manages to get back on its feet

Not surprisingly, the last ten episodes multiply biblical references, including punishments reminiscent of the ten plagues of Egypt. Angelina, an enlightened passenger with devastating powers, is still convinced that she is an angel chosen by God, and continues to assume the role of the great villain. By staging this battle between good and evil, "Manifest" puts the finishing touches on a message that has become increasingly Christian over the seasons, which can sometimes exasperate viewers.

However, the series manages to fall back on its feet, to set up new surprises while resolving its question marks posed from the first season. Some of the protagonists' personal developments are much less successful, but in the end, "Manifest" completes a coherent flight plan.
