The Ferraris set eighth and ninth time in the first hour of tasting the track, with Charles Leclerc (+1.088) ahead of Carlos Sainz (+1.120). Ahead of the two Ferrari drivers were Esteban Ocon (Alpine, +0.812), Nyck De Vries (AlphaTauri, +0.898), Pierre Gasly (Alpine +0.939), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin, +0.941) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas, +1.083). As for Mercedes, 10 George Russell made the tenth time (+1.147) and Lewis Hamilton the 12th (+1.239).
