(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 02 - "The Association of Magistrates of the Court of Auditors continues to express concern about the Government's decision to limit the concomitant control functions on the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and to extend the tax shield, whose founding reasons linked to the emergency have failed". This is what we read in a note from the accounting magistrates who intervene after the amendments on the control functions on the PNRR and on the extension of the tax shield. "Prolonging the exclusion of liability for gross negligence raises significant doubts about constitutionality and compatibility with the European legislation and generates a climate of de-responsibility, which does not strengthen, but weakens, the effectiveness of administrative action". For the magistrates, "the dialogue with the Government and the opening of a discussion table on reforms as well as the debate in parliament with the hearing of President Carlino remains, but in the meantime the clear opposition to the confirmation of the amendments remains". "These rules, if they were definitively approved by Parliament, would put at risk the system of protections placed to protect the sound and correct management of public resources", it explains. "The Association hopes that the necessary deepening in parliament will lead to the withdrawal of the same". (ANSA).
