One evening, five new concerts. This is the chic and shocking formula that France Inter concocts for the 2023 Music Festival. On June 21st, the station will once again invest the mythical enclosure of the Olympia for a series of shows open free of charge to the public (subject to availability). On the menu of the evening, broadcast live on the airwaves and presented by a duo composed of Laurent Goumarre and Aline Afanoukoé: a sacred parterre and a lot of tempting surprises.
The first: an original creation by the singer Zaho de Sagazan, one of the sensations of the year, who signed an ultra-noticed first album, "La Symphonie des éclairs". Thunderclap also in perspective with the great return of Jain, who, after his international hits "Come", "Makeba" or "Alright", has just signed "The Fool", a third successful album. She will give a taste of her new show before starting her French tour in the fall.
A column by Benjamin Biolay
Also expected on the stage of the Olympia: the British Arlo Parks. With her soul voice both impressive and moving, the young woman will present "My Soft Machine", her new opus, just released in stores.
Rayon rap, two heavyweights of the French scene, who have both just filled the Accor Arena, in Paris, will succeed each other to play the songs of their respective new albums: Dinos and Lomepal.
Small bonus for France Inter listeners: throughout the week of the Fête de la musique, from June 19 to 23, a distinguished guest will be invited on the air in the morning: Benjamin Biolay will sign a daily musical chronicle at 7:20 am to evoke an artist (Jane Birkin, Chet Baker ...) or a group (L'affaire Louis'Trio) who has marked him. On this occasion, he will cover one of their titles on the piano.
