The Haribo group has to recall one of its products. Two different packs are affected, while another is harmless.
Munich – Attention snack fans: The confectionery manufacturer Haribo informs about an urgent recall of a liquorice mixture. According to the company, impurities have been found in the product. Four specific batches are affected.

Urgent Haribo recall: liquorice packs contaminated with metal particles
Affected by the recall are two different packs of the Danish-made Haribo "Matador Mix", a 375-gram bag and a 1000-gram round can. The company informs about this on the website. As a result, contamination with metal particles was found in some packages. These were mainly sold in Scandinavia, but also to a lesser extent in Germany.

The 375-gram bags can be recognized by the Danish Haribo slogan "Luk op for noget godt ... luk op for HARIBO!". On the 1000-gram cans the English saying "Kids and grown-ups love it so, the happy world of Haribo!" is printed.
Haribo liquorice in recall: What consumers can do
However, the Haribo product with the name "Haribo Matador Dark Mix", which is produced in Germany and available at Aldi, is not affected, as the company writes in the press release. This product bears inscriptions in English.

The consumption of the affected products is strongly discouraged. The cause of the incident has been clearly identified and internal measures have already been taken to avoid such a thing in the future, it said. Consumers can return the products affected by the recall to the respective point of sale where they purchased the product for a refund of the purchase price.
