(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 04 - A traffic light system that will use the classic red, yellow and green colors to guide consumers in the purchase of goods and services and help Italian families struggling with increasingly salty daily shopping, and a basket of products at controlled prices to be proposed to the Government, large-scale distribution, producers and local authorities as anti-inflation measures.
To launch it Assoutenti, which on the basis of the latest Istat data on inflation has published on its website and on the social channels of the association a traffic light that involves a long list of products, goods and services and the related price increases.
"The inflation data for May show that the price emergency is far from resolved in Italy, with retail lists that for some sectors, such as food and shopping cart, remain at high levels. - explains the president of Assoutenti, Furio Truzzi - Among the goods that record the strongest irinprices today are sugar (+52.6% on year), national flights (+43.2%), rice (+37.1%), international flights (+36.6%), preserved milk (+28.7%), olive oil (+24.6%), potatoes (+22.2%) and ice cream (+22%)".
