Munich – 4105 euros: This is the average gross salary that an employee earns in Germany with a full-time job per month. This was determined by the Federal Statistical Office (StBA) for 2022. Those who earn more are among the high earners. As a rule, the following also applies: A higher level of education means a higher salary. Bringing up the rear in the salary ranking in Germany: What hairdressers earn
If you scroll down to the bottom of the salary comparison between eleven different professions of the Federal Statistical Office 2022, the hairdresser is there with 1,778 euros gross per month. So the salary is well below average. By way of comparison, the geriatric nurse, who is often very low-paid, earns 3,559 euros, i.e. twice as much. If you look at the top of the salary ranking, it becomes even clearer how big the salary differences are: pilots earn an average of 8,739 euros a month, almost five times as much as a hairdresser. Unless, perhaps, as a hairdresser, you also count stars and starlets among your customers.
