Not only does the show have to go on, it does. An exhibition featuring Freddie Mercury's handwritten drafts of some of Queen's most famous songs is now on display to the public free of charge at Sotheby's auction house in New York City, before moving to Los Angeles and Hong Kong in the coming weeks before landing in London in August, where the pages will be offered to the highest bidder in September, nearly 32 years after the legendary singer passed away in 1991.

"These sensational pages reveal how Queen's songs came together, most of which were written during a tremendous burst of creativity in the mid-50s – and continue to resonate in our contemporary culture <> years later," Sotheby's said in a statement. "The pages take us on a journey of discovery straight into the heart of Mercury as a creative artist, and give us a glimpse of alternative versions that these celebrated songs might have received. Moreover, in the case of one notebook – which originated before Queen received her first recording contract – ideas for songs that were never released are revealed."

In fact, one of the most sensational revelations revealed in this treasure trove is that Freddie initially considered calling "Bohemian Rhapsody" – one of the greatest rock anthems of all time and the third best-selling single ever in the UK – "Mongolian Rhapsody".
