A new Windsor heir was born. Two years after becoming parents for the first time, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank welcomed their second child on Tuesday, May 30: a boy named Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. The news was revealed by the cousin of Princes William and Harry in an Instagram post. "It is named after his great-great-great-grandfather George, his grandfather George and my grandfather Ronald. Augie [nickname given to his eldest son, August] already loves to be a big brother, "wrote the happy mother, in caption of two photos immortalizing the newborn.

A marriage and two children later
As a reminder, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, aged 33, married entrepreneur Jack Brooksbank in October 2018. Two years later, on February 9, 2021, she gave birth to her first child: a boy named August Philip Hawke Brooksbank. The latter occupies, to date, the twelfth place in the order of succession to the British throne, just behind his mother and ahead of his younger brother Ernest.
On January 24, in an unofficial way, Princess Eugenie of York had confirmed, still on Instagram, her second pregnancy after an official announcement by Buckingham Palace. "We are delighted to share the arrival of a newcomer to our family this summer," said the niece of King Charles III, in the caption of a photo where she was seen all smiles, in country dress, while her son August kissed her belly.
