"I am a trans man and I exist. No matter what anyone says, I am living proof. At 27, Britain's Logan Brown is a transgender man and has given birth to a daughter. Two weeks before giving birth, he posed for the British magazine "Glamour" which made him its muse for its June issue.

By posing on the front page, Logan Brown became the first trans man to be encircled on the cover of a magazine. For the occasion, he took the pose covered in makeup, giving the illusion of a costume on his body. "I wasn't surprised by any of the negative comments I had because, obviously, (my pregnancy) is not a usual thing. I have a feeling there will always be people in the comments and keyboard warriors on Instagram. These people say things online that they probably would never say to my face," he explained in a lengthy interview with Glamour.

Hospital staff 'not trained' on gender issues

Logan Brown gave birth by caesarean section in mid-May to a daughter, Nova. However, throughout his pregnancy, he faced several difficulties on the side of the NHS, the British social security services. In hospitals, staff were "not trained", to his regret.

"No one asked me if I was okay. No one has wondered what it's like to be a trans man. Being pregnant, in general, is really, really hard. Add the fact of being trans... Some midwives understand it, some don't," Brown said. "Training should be mandatory, because we exist and trans people go to the hospital," he said.
