A model posting bikini photos on Instagram is certainly nothing new, nor is it the case for actress and modelMegan Fox. But it seems that this time her post took on special significance, after a recent interview in which she talked about the body image problem she faces.
The 37-year-old model recently starred on one of Sports Illustrated's covers, where she provided them with a moving and candid interview revealing the model's body dysmorphia that the model has always experienced. "I never see myself the way other people see me," she said. "There's not a point in my life where I loved my body, ever," she boldly shared. "When I was little, it was an obsession I had. I'm not sure why this awareness grew at such a young age. The journey to self-love will last forever."
Along with followers confused by the contrast between the interview and the lack of confidence she displayed and the believable photo, there were those who appreciated the courage of Fox, who despite revealing that she was not at peace with herself, still uploaded the photo in her swimsuit without editing or filtering: "It can definitely be a sign of insecurity. Some people need the approval for the pictures of their body and attention," commented one follower.
