The sanctions have fallen. At the beginning of April, on the set of "Touche pas à mon poste", three hooded men and a woman, hooded, black hood on their heads and modified voice, orange armband marked police on the arm, had presented themselves for some wrongly as members of the Brav-M, the brigade for the repression of motorized violent action. An investigation had been launched by the Paris Police Prefecture. One of the imposters has been referred to the disciplinary council, AFP learned Monday from a source close to the case.
Another was sentenced to a reprimand and the third to a temporary exclusion from function for three days by the prefect of police of Paris, Laurent Nuñez, after administrative investigation of the IGPN ("police police"), added the same source.
A police officer dismissed since 2002
The footage was broadcast as the unit was accused of violence against protesters opposed to the pension reform. Very quickly, a preliminary investigation was opened in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) after a report from the prefect of police to the justice. He was convinced that none of the police officers on the set were members of the Brav-M. Sources close to the case had confirmed to AFP that none belonged to this unit.
"There were no fake cops on the set," defended Lionel Stan, the general manager of H2O, Cyril Hanouna's company that produces the show. One of them, named Cédric on social networks and presenting himself as their spokesman, had been dismissed from the national police in December 2002. In the case of this man, the Commissioner of Police cannot take any sanction against him since he is no longer a police officer. His case is under judicial jurisdiction, said a source close to the case.
"When an official who has been dismissed speaks on behalf of Brav-M, for me it is a problem," said the prefect Laurent Nuñez in early April. He also denounced the "non-respect of the duty of discretion" of other officials.
