Currently, the job market for applicants is rosy. There is a shortage of suitable talent in many places and the number of vacancies in companies is still at an all-time high, according to Handelsblatt. This is despite the fact that some companies are now introducing austerity programs and cutting jobs.
The job portal Indeed evaluated the annual salary of various jobs for the Handelsblatt and listed in which industries the earning potential is greatest. The top positions here are occupied by physicians, who generally have good prospects not only for employment, but also for good salaries. But other professions are also doing well.
High salaries with little competition – where you can earn well
Indeed's analysts audited over a three-month period to determine how strong the competition for a particular job profile was and compared the clicks with other job ads on the job portal. A larger difference between the number of clicks indicated fewer competitors.
In the top positions, job offers for doctors, specialists from the technology sector and the construction industry are piling up. Annina Hering, labor market expert at Indeed, is not surprised by this development. In an interview with Handelsblatt, she explained: "Despite the macroeconomic challenges, talents in these segments continue to have the very best chances of finding employment and also being paid very well."
