The government places confidence in the Chamber l on the dl Pa. This was announced at the Assembly of Montecitorio by the Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo. The Conference of Group Chairmen will now have to decide on further work.

Only opposition deputies were registered to speak in the debate, except one from FDI in a debate to which even the rapporteurs, the chairmen of the Labour and Constitutional Affairs committees Walter Rizzetto and Nazario Pagano, gave up speaking, delivering the text of their reports.

The opposition deputies pointed the finger at the rules of the decree, also recalling the bliz in committee on the rule relating to the reorganization of the Ministry of Defense that was eventually withdrawn by the government.

To inflame the political clash are the amendments that limit the controls of the Court of Auditors on the expenses of the PNRR. The government wants to hurry and, at the moment, an appeal to confidence is not excluded and then pull straight towards the approval of the text in the Senate.

"We will fight in the Chamber on this measure, the concomitant controls of the Court of Auditors serve and must remain", reiterated the deputy of the M5s Chiara Appendino speaking on Radio 1 to the transmission 'Forrest'. "Svimez - he added - tells us that one in three women in the south as a mother cannot work because there are no services, in the PNRR there are billions to create 260 thousand places in nurseries and the government does not spend them. There is money to counteract hydrogeological instability and the government does not spend it. This is absurd. This government has spent 1 billion out of 33 foreseen by the PNR for 2023, it is in a crazy delay and instead of speeding up the procedures to put these resources on the ground, it shifts attention to the concomitant controls of the Court of Auditors looking for a new scapegoat. It's crazy, the future of our country depends on the PNRR," he concluded.

"We will not vote confidence in the decree on public administration, it is not in the range of possibilities. We are in opposition and we remain there, but without ideological clashes", said Raffaella Paita, President of the Azione-Italia Viva group in the Senate. "Let's take the issue of simplification: it is an important issue and it must be clearly stated that speeding up is a value. Speed up does not exclude controls, you can be efficient and control at the same time. This is why I stigmatize the words against prosecutor Melillo for the tone, but at the same time we cannot cry scandal because we want to implement a measure on the issue of tax damage that among other things had also implemented the Draghi government", concluded Paita.

LIVE FROM THE ROOM

This morning at 10 am "an extraordinary assembly of the Association of Magistrates of the Court of Auditors was convened. On the agenda discussion on initiatives resulting from the amendments on the limitations of the functions of the Court of Auditors: concomitant control and tax shield (art. 1, decree-law 22 April 2023, n. 44, containing urgent provisions for the strengthening of the administrative capacity of public administrations C.A. 1114)". This is what we read in a note from the association.

The Court of Auditors had also intervened the national anti-mafia prosecutor Giovanni Melillo. "The claim of a primacy of the discretionary powers of the PA", he declares, is "all the more credible if the request for the retreat of external controls is accompanied by a decisive strengthening of internal control lines, but it does not seem to me that there is a significant trace of this". For Melillo, the resources of the PNR must be used as soon as possible, but we must "do it well, avoiding that they are dispersed in the thousand streams of abuse and corruption", or worse, "that they end up in the hands of mafia crime". Words that rekindle the minds of the opposition, with the exception of the Third Pole, in view of the vote in the Chamber.
