This 14th day of demonstrations against the pension reform is probably the last. At least for the CFDT. After five months of mobilization against the pension reform, "the match is ending," acknowledged Tuesday the secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger. He now calls on the unions to "weigh in the balance of power to come" on other subjects.
This 14th day of mobilization "is obviously the last on the issue of pensions in this format". But it must serve to "show the strength of the trade union movement to meet the challenges that are before us", including "purchasing power, wages, housing, working conditions", he added before the departure of the Paris demonstration.

"We want real negotiations," warned at his side the number one of the CGT, Sophie Binet, also evoking wages, but also the "Macron ordinances" on the Labor Code and "gender equality".
Even if "pensions will always remain a fight", the objective is now to "win concrete progress", she said, affirming that "the inter-union will remain united". According to her, it is "likely that there will be further demonstrations in view of the anger in the country".
A review of actions on June 13
The leaders of the inter-union have planned "a video exchange" on June 13, said Benoît Teste (FSU) to "make a complete assessment" of their day of mobilization and the vote, Thursday, at the National Assembly, on the proposal to repeal the pension reform.
At the same time, the hypothesis of a meeting at the Élysée divides union leaders: Cyril Chabanier (CFTC) "thinks we must go because it is a good time to negotiate on other subjects" than pensions.
But Frédéric Souillot (FO) said that his organization "will not go" to this "social conference that would be in the pipes". The same reluctance of François Hommeril (CFE-CGC) who "does not want to go to a communication operation of the President of the Republic".
