Tottenham have signed Australian manager Ange Postecoglou who has signed a four-year contract with the London club. In the last two seasons Postecoglou, 57, has led Celtic with whom he has won two consecutive league titles. "We are very happy to have Ange with us - the satisfaction of Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy - Ange brings a positive mentality and an attacking, purposeful style of play. He has great skills in improving players as well as launching young talent."
Tottenham had been looking for a new coach since last March, after the departure of Antonio Conte and the brief experiences before Cristian Stellini then Ryan Mason. In the final season Postecoglou, who becomes the first Australian manager on a Premier League bench, won the domestic treble with the Glasgow club, winning five of the six trophies up for grabs in his two Scottish years. In his career Postecoglou also led the Australian national team, between 2013 and 2017, and collected an experience in Japan, on the bench of Yokohama F. Marinos.
