Thursday, June 1, about fifty adults took advantage of the return of students, at 11 am, to forcibly enter the Lycée Victor-Hugo, near the Saint-Charles station in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), and rush to the 1st floor. Once in the offices of the management, they copiously insulted the principal, Fabien Mairal — "A little dignity, break yourself! Go outside if you're a man! " — before jostling him. "There were insults, threats, intimidation. Some were very, very excited. I was afraid that it would escalate," says one witness, who describes a "Capitol atmosphere in Washington".
