Two Fiorentina fans were reportedly arrested in Prague for resisting a public official while 19 others were subjected to identification detention by the Czech police. We learn this from sources of the Florentine police headquarters. If blind police were to identify other purple supporters involved from viewing surveillance camera footage, more arrests would be made.
In the midst of the celebration of the fans of Fiorentina and West Ham there were some moments of tension in the center of Prague, for an alleged contact between the two fans. The police in riot gear, in the central Wenceslas Square, contained and identified a hundred Fiorentina ultras, evidently held responsible for being part of the group that caused the riots.
Three West Ham fans, according to Czech police, were injured in clashes that took place in a bar in the center of Prague. The story began in the afternoon when, in a bar on Rytirska Street, adjacent to the central Wenceslas Square, some fans of the two teams came into contact. Chairs also flew into the street. After the policemen stopped a dozen people on the spot, to be precise in a shoe store where the fans had entered, others were identified and stopped later. Of the three West Ham fans, two were treated at the scene, one was taken to hospital with a head injury. A policeman was also involved in the scuffle but was not injured. The other members of the group of Fiorentina fans, some dozens, then moved to Wenceslas Square where they were surrounded by police in riot gear and then accompanied to the Fiorentina fan zone, in a park just outside the center.
