Dunestars Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet were present at the birthday party of Darnell Appling, Zendaya's assistant, who was celebrating his 26th birthday on the theme of Freaknik, Atlanta's famous African-American student festival. An anniversary that was held, it seems, outside the Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles.

On two separate videos, the comedians can be seen dancing. Zendaya joined the crowd to let go, with a smile on her face, to Beyoncé's song Before I Let Go. She sported a casual look with a white crop top, baggy blue jeans and gold earrings.

The Bones and All actor danced in the middle of a circle formed around him by the other participants in the party. He wore a loose white T-shirt with an NBA jersey on top, as well as green and yellow basketball shorts, a backwards baseball cap, black sunglasses, Batman socks and colorful sneakers, and held in his hand a red cup, typical of American holidays.
Everyone knows that Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet have been living a great friendship story since the filming of the film Dune, released in 2021. In an interview with E! News' Daily Pop in October 2021, Zendaya said of her partner, "Immediately, I thought, 'Oh, we're going to be friends for life.' In a more recent interview, Timothée Chalamet told Variety that he considers Zendaya a sister: "I'm so grateful to have her as a partner, sister and friend."
Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya recently shot Dune 2, scheduled for release on November 3, 2023, alongside Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux, Christopher Walken, Javier Bardem, Charlotte Rampling and Tim Blake Nelson.
