For sale. The house looks good. The agent speaks of " cachet ". This professional forgets to specify that the train passes at the end of the garden. These are the tricks of the trade. It is necessary that by discovering the place, the arrivals shout a " Wow!" of enthusiasm. There will be many in this light, modern, lively comedy, shot with a communicative and obvious pleasure. The passion unravels, by dint of using words as quote, facing south, to evoke a bathroom as if it were a work of art. Meanwhile, people continue to dream of fireplaces, children's cries on the lawn, appetizers under the trees. Their future is filled with work. Their heads are teeming with renovations. Fantasy is king in this series of sketches that follow one another at the speed of sound. The house is still for sale. The film is for rent. In every sense of the word. E. N.

Thriller by Andrea Di Stefano, 2h05
Cops don't sleep at night. Franco Amore is no exception to the rule. Even a few hours before retirement and after thirty-five years of good and loyal service. Amore is an honest, competent police officer. He never shot anyone. In a tunnel, his colleague Dino is found dead. Amore is called to this crime scene that he pretends to discover. Andrea Di Stefano goes back and dilates time with a beautiful mastery to reconstruct a diamond robbery that goes wrong. If everything is not perfectly credible in the second part – we enter this tunnel as in a mill – Last Night in Milan depicts without complacency the reality of the job of cop, paid a pittance without counting his hours, and sometimes led to work in private security to make ends meet. For a discerning ear, they are the only ones who speak neutral Italian. The other protagonists play Calabrian or Sicilian accents – special mention to Antonio Gerardi in the role of Cosimo, worthy of Joe Pesci in Scorsese. In this basket of crabs, Pierfrancesco Favino plays a small fish. It gives it a tremendous charisma and dignity. E. S.

The staging has as much relief as the last match of the season of PSG (or OM, as desired). The football scenes compile the goals without imagination, while actress Garance Marillier touches her ball ball at the foot. But the fate of Marinette Pichon, Cosette in cleats (alcoholic and violent father) and pioneer of women's football, lends itself to an edifying biopic. Soccer star in the United States in the early 2000s, serial scorer of the France team, Pichon paved the way in a discipline still in need of recognition. E. S.

She has just cancelled her concerts until spring 2024 for health reasons. Failing to be fit enough to go on stage, Celine Dion is the heroine of a romantic comedy sewn with white thread but who also knows how to amuse the gallery with its mises en abyme in the second degree. The singer of My Heart Will Go On plays her own role and finds herself, in spite of herself, playing the matchmaker between a jaded journalist and a bereaved illustrator. Mira lost her fiancé in a traffic accident. Inconsolable, she continues to send text messages detailing his moods on the laptop of the deceased. She is unaware that the number has been reassigned to Rob, a music critic. Charmed by Mira's prose and encouraged by Celine Dion, whom he met in an interview, he set out to meet the cartoonist for real. The appeal of Jim Strouse's film is to see Celine Dion mock her reputation as a diva and queen of syrupy ballads. In the role of lovebirds who will triumph over all obstacles and misunderstandings, fans of series will recognize the stars of Citadel and Outlander Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Sam Heughan. C.J.
