Mancini: 'The Nations League is a great achievement'

From the training camp in Santa Margherita di Pula in Sardinia, national coach Roberto Mancini spoke to Sky after morning training.
In view of the challenge against Spain, for the Nations League semi-final on Thursday 15, he addressed the theme of the now upcoming Final Four in Holland: "It's a great achievement to be back in the final phase - said the coach - In the group we had Germany, England and Hungary. We are at the final stage, it is clear that we want to win, like the others but it will not be easy. We made the choices, unfortunately someone remained outside. The guys who are here would have deserved everyone, unfortunately we had to deliver it before training, not even knowing how the Inter players will arrive. Making a list is always difficult."
Mancini also spoke about the upcoming Champions League final, between two teams he has coached: "If you see the results of recent years, City can start as favorites, but in 90 minutes anything can happen. Inter have good players, they are a solid team, it's not so easy to score goals." Meanwhile, tonight, there is the Conference final between Fiorentina (another team coached by Mancini) and West Ham: "Good luck to Fiorentina and congratulations for the season. The finals are all open, West Ham are a very good team, but so is Fiorentina. Italian football has improved in recent years, it is clear that we are not like we were 20 years, when in our league there were the best in the world. To have reached the three finals is positive, as is that the three teams (Roma, Fiorentina and Inter, ed) have several Italian players."
