"This is an operational table that serves to establish the necessary interventions to deal with the damage, to discuss what to do and how to best act". This was said, according to what is learned, by the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni opening the meeting with mayors presidents of the Region and the Provinces affected by the flood in Emilia Romagna, Marche and Tuscany, explaining that "it will be a permanent table that, pending the definition of the commissioner structure, will be coordinated within the government by Minister Musumeci".
"I believe - added Meloni - that this moment of confrontation is very important, I say immediately that I do not consider this context occasional, I intend to make this table permanent, as long as necessary. We all know that we are dealing with a particularly complex event, not that the regions involved have not already been the scene of other emergency situations. In this specific case we realize that the event is not only particularly vast for the extension but particularly vast in the phenomena it produces, and therefore needs many different intervention plans ".
"The more precise we are in the reconnaissance of the territories to give to those in need and not to waste those resources, the more those resources will go where they need to go. Just as the more you will be able to distinguish what is the result of the flood event from the problems that were pre-existing, the more you will have resources to approach compensation that is as high as possible with the objective of 100%". This is what is learned, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni says at the table on the flood. "Since the resources - we all know - are not infinite, indeed, we are all called - he concludes - to a work of great accuracy and responsibility".
