(ANSA) - VERONA, JUNE 07 - There are 17 other suspects in the investigation of the Verona Public Prosecutor's Office on episodes of torture, mistreatment and embezzlement that yesterday led to the arrest of five policemen on duty at the Volanti of the Police Headquarters.
With regard to them, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Verona has advanced to the investigating judge Livia Magri the application of disqualification measures, such as suspension from service or transfer of office.
In the pre-trial detention order, the judge emphasizes that against them "it will be necessary to fix the preventive questioning before the decision". Another order will therefore be issued relating to these possible measures.
The Questore Roberto Massucci, as known, has already arranged in recent weeks the office transfer for 23 policemen on duty at the Volanti department. (ANSA).
