Opposition again to the attack on the management of the PNR by the government. The failure to send Parliament the half-yearly report on the implementation of the plan is accused.

"We are still waiting for the report of Minister Fitto - accuses the Democratic Party with Alessandro Alfieri, head of PNNR and Reforms in the Dem secretariat - and I find it difficult to understand the reason for this delay. The truth is that this government is obsessed with who has to manage money and who has to control procedures, but it doesn't care about the real priority which is to spend the money and spend it well." In fact, the report, as also announced by the government in a note published on its website, was presented to the control room of Palazzo Chigi on May 31. After the green light there, it then passed to the scrutiny of the ministries. And informally it was also circulated to parliamentarians. To make it known is among other things the Dem senator Filippo Sensi who explains that he asked for the text "still fugitive" in committee and, he says ironically, "with a magic I was made to have the volume".
"Too bad - he attacks - that the document not only does not exist on the government website, but has not yet been officially transmitted to Parliament, Chamber and Senate. In fact, therefore, I was given a non-object, we are in Magritte or Oulipo". Under accusation, therefore, first of all the Minister Raffaele Fitto who, however, assures that the text will be transmitted to the Chambers at the latest tomorrow. The report, according to reports, would be the same circulated, in fact, informally except for small adjustments on the basis of observations that would have come from the ministries of Health and Tourism. But the text would be almost unchanged. The opposition, however, does not make it so much a question of substance but of method and lack of transparency vis-à-vis Parliament. Minister Fitto tries to calm the waters by communicating that the text is coming soon. And it cannot be excluded that, once acquired by Parliament, the centre-left, at the first useful opportunity, as already done in one of the last group leaders, will ask for an intervention by Fitto and possibly a vote. A request that the Minister would be willing to accept. A vote that could, among other things, also arrive on the motion announced by the Democratic Party on the use of PNR funds.
"We have prepared a motion - explain the Dems always with Alfieri - that we have offered to the discussion of the Senate, in which we indicate the priorities and our proposals. We can't afford to lose a single euro." The theme of the PNR will certainly also be one of the topics on the agenda of the meeting to be held tomorrow between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Meanwhile, the Chamber arrives, with 179 votes in favor and 126 against, the green light to the decree p.a. containing the relaxation measures on the controls of the Court of Auditors on the expenses related to the plan but also new hires within the public administration precisely in terms of accelerating the implementation of the plan. "To implement the measures envisaged by the PNR - claims Forza Italia with the blue Chiara Tenerini - the administrative machine must be strengthened, starting from the inclusion of professional figures able to manage the projects and procedures provided for by the Plan" and the decree p.a "responds precisely to this need". The measure now goes to the Senate for the final go-ahead.
