Tourism as a primary resource of the country, its impact and growth prospects especially in Southern Italy are the themes of the event 'Tourism in the South: trends, impacts and dynamics. A resource to grow and enhance the great potential of the territory and culture' promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo. The event will be held at the Hotel Vesuvio in Naples with live streaming on Ansa.it from 11. The panel of participations and interventions was rich, including that of the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, and the Head of the Banca dei Territori Division of Intesa Sanpaolo, Stefano Barrese.
The event aims to be a moment of confrontation between institutional representatives and the world of hospitality on the growth prospects of the tourism sector, which is increasingly confirming itself as the leading sector of the Italian economy and will also be an opportunity to illustrate the interventions that Intesa Sanpaolo will put in place to contribute to the further development of tourism as a driving force for the territories with particular reference to the areas of Southern Italy. And it is with this in mind that the report 'Tourism and territory' produced by SRM, the Study Centre connected to Intesa Sanpaolo, will be presented.
During the day, particular attention will be given to the theme of the competitiveness of the tourism system which, in order to make the leap in quality, must focus on sustainability and digitalization and the 'Designing Sustainable Tourism' agreement will be signed between Intesa Sanpaolo, Confindustria Alberghi, Federalberghi, Federterme and Federturismo.
