Israeli product designer.

"COZI Studio by Ofir Zandani and Yuval Carmel. They create elements and accessories for the home, and manage to create movement, emotion, and volume from two-dimensional materials."

A must-see gallery.

"Periscope, a very old gallery for modern design that has existed for more than 20 years and presents different types of works – from plastic art to sculpture, and which focuses mainly on design, which is its greatest. The gallery itself, located in Tel Aviv, was planned and designed by architect Alex Meitlis, and is definitely a source of local inspiration."

A design store worth buying a plane ticket for.

"I would buy a plane ticket to Manhattan to visit RH-store, an amazing furniture brand with branches mainly in the US. There is something special about this brand that brings together different styles from the world of design. Fine eclecticism."

The tip for the perfect combination of colors in the space.

"You have to maintain a balance. You can use any mix, any variety, the main thing is to have the right balance."

The most important tip when designing a home.

"Two tips: the first – knowing how to listen, the second – knowing not to give up. By explaining my ideas to the client more than once in different ways, I allow me to have new experiences and reach new places. This is true for both sides, both the client and the designer."

A book that is a decorative item.

"The Israeli book Local dot com that you (Uri Sela, A.S.) wrote. A book that brings together Israeli designers, each with its own uniqueness and work process. This is a book that celebrates and gives a platform to Israeli designers."

An interesting story that you remember especially.

"My wife Dorit and I have just finished planning the house of an Instagram personality who has become a familiar figure in every home in Israel, Doreen Dotan. Until before the project, Dorit and I didn't know her. We were exposed to a special, thorough, pleasant and professional woman.

By the way, if we go back to my tip, don't give up and listen, this is exactly Doreen. She documented the entire process, from start to finish. For us it was strange, a process of designing through cameras. This process, which reflected to Dorit and I the way we were going, it was easy and flowing for me and it took her longer to devote herself to the camera. Bottom line, I really recommend that anyone document the process. I've been in the profession for 20 years, and we've never documented design processes. The camera allowed me to understand, learn and develop. The footage is open to the public and can be seen on Dorit, Doreen and Shelly's Instagram."
