Highlights: Charlie Brooker, the mastermind behind the tech nightmares from "Black Mirror," played around with the artificial intelligence ChatGPT. He tried to write an episode using the chatbot to see what came out of it. Brooker: "The first thing I tried to do was type 'generate a Black Mirror episode' and the result was something that looked plausible at first glance, but was crap at second glance. Because all it does is go through the summaries of the 'Black Mirror' episodes and somehow mix them together"

Charlie Brooker, the mastermind behind the tech nightmares from "Black Mirror," played around with the artificial intelligence ChatGPT to see what would happen if you wrote an episode using the chatbot. This is what came out of it...

Since 2011, British TV writer Charlie Brooker has been delivering disturbing technology fairy tales with the dystopian Netflix anthology series "Black Mirror", in which it is illuminated how we could make life difficult for ourselves in the future... or already do it. The punch line usually has more to do with the human element than with the creepy equipment, but a bit of justified tech suspicion can be attributed to the mastermind behind the series.

So it's no wonder what came out of it when Brooker dealt with the artificial intelligence ChatGPT, which is currently on everyone's lips. He reports on the first attempts: "The first thing I tried to do was type 'generate a Black Mirror episode' and the result was something that looked plausible at first glance, but was crap at second glance. Because all it does is go through the summaries of the 'Black Mirror' episodes and somehow mix them together. "You can read about his further collaboration with ChatGPT at Serienjunkies.de.
