Confindustria brings the Italian genius of Leonardo da Vinci to the United States and on this occasion inaugurates an office in Washington. The initiative is part of the Confindustria nel mondo project, which has already seen the opening of offices in Kiev and Singapore, and aims to "tell the story of the company in an unprecedented way", through Leonardo which represents the symbol of Italian talent and know-how. It is a "country operation with industry doing its part as economic diplomacy", says the president of Confindustria Carlo Bonomi.
For the first time Leonardo's inspiration will cross the borders of the United States through the monographic exhibition, organized by Confindustria with the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana, which will display twelve autograph drawings, selected from the 1,119 sheets that make up the Codex Atlanticus. The works testify to Leonardo's intellectual life for over forty years, from 1478 to 1519.

The twelve original tables will allow us to tell the story of Italian business through a collection of futuristic projects in which themes ranging from research to flight recur.

Confindustria chose Leonardo because he "represents Italian ingenuity. It is he who has started to know how to make and make beautiful as we do every day", continues Bonomi.
"Italian industry - he continues - wants an open culture because it must be available to everyone. Culture must be a bridge that unites."
The exhibition Imagining The Future. Leonardo da Vinci: In The Mind Of An Italian Genius, from June 20 to August 20 at the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Library in Washington, aims to help spread the entrepreneurial spirit as a driver of economic, social and civil growth in every country. Leonardo's exhibition in America will be told in a documentary film available from September and will retrace the most significant moments of the whole trip.
An important event will also be the opening of the new headquarters of Confindustria in Washington. The new offices, after those already opened in Kiev and Singapore, are part of the Confindustria nel mondo project and will aim to give further impetus to international relations and act as a bridge between Italian companies and the American market. The idea of Confindustria nel "mondo" was born to take care of the interests of Italian companies at an international level. The United States is our third market, it could not fail to be part of the Confindustria project in the world", concludes the leader of the industrialists.
