Companies continue to hire against all odds, once again contradicting the forecasts of economists who anticipate a rise in unemployment. Over the first three months of the year, 92,400 additional salaried jobs were created, according to INSEE figures published Thursday. An increase of 0.3%, which allows the France to chain a ninth consecutive quarter of increase.
This very positive context, despite the impact of inflation or the war in Ukraine, should not, however, hide various obstacles that still penalize the job market. If that of skills seems to have been tackled by the government, especially with the full employment bill presented Wednesday in the Council of Ministers and the reform of vocational high schools, that of the lack of mobility of employees on the other hand remains for the moment under the radar.
