HBO has decided against a third season of the lawyer series "Perry Mason," according to Deadline. Executive producers include Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey of her production company Team Downey. Originally, the project was only planned as a miniseries with one season, before the success was decided for another season.
HBO said in a statement on the cancellation: "We are incredibly grateful for the remarkable work of Matthew Rhys and the unmatched cast of 'Perry Mason' for their reimagining of such a beloved franchise. While we won't be producing another season of the show, we look forward to working with Team Downey's brilliant creatives on future projects."
