It is a French initiative that could make small within the Disney ecosystem. The press group Unique Heritage Media, publisher in France of the magazines of the American group (Le Journal de Mickey, Picsou Magazine, Super Picsou Géant ...), launches next week Ducktoon, a paid webtoon application (5.99 euros per month). This digital format from South Korea makes it possible to read comics adapted to smartphone screens. Reading is done box by box, and from top to bottom, rather than page by page.
Dozens of stories featuring Donald, Picsou and Mickey, drawn from the rich archives of these magazines, have been reworked in vertical format and cut into episodes in order to take up the codes of the webtoon. This technical work was entrusted to the Roubaix company S&B Solutions.
