(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JUNE 08 - "Politically, pragmatically, this mechanism" of relocating asylum seekers to the EU "is unacceptable for us". So the Polish Deputy Minister of the Interior, Bartosz Grodecki, on the sidelines of the Internal Affairs Council in Luxembourg. The deputy minister then equated the financial contribution for each migrant not accepted to a "sanction", arguing that this contribution will not be "in any way accepted, nor allowed in our country. We cannot explain to a society that has taken in over a million war refugees from Ukraine that now if they do not accept more, they will have to pay out of their own pockets," he added. (ANSA).
