She really is Wonder Woman: Gal Gadot the most beautiful block we've seen - voila! fashion

2023-06-08T08:32:16.321Z

Highlights: Gal Gadot was honored to reveal the winner of the LVMH Award for Young Designers. The Israeli-Hollywood star stole the show in a maddening androgynous ensemble. The award is open to young designers under the age of 40 who have presented and sold at least two ready-to-wear collections by women, men or unisex. It has previously been awarded to designers such as Marine Serre in 2017 or Nancy Dogeka (who dresses Zendaya and Kendall Jenner)

Gal Gadot, she and no other, was honored to reveal the winner and stole the show

Gal Gadotjoined the fashion elite in Paris on Wednesday this week, on the occasion of the awarding of the tenth annual LVMH Award for Young Designers, held by the luxury conglomerate LVMH, and was privileged to reveal the winner of the Louis Vuitton Foundation (and a respectable sum of 400,000 euros) - fashion designer Satoshi Kawata with his unique label SETCHU, which echoes a Western modernist approach to his Japanese identity.

The jury consisted of eight LVMH artistic directors, including Silvia Venturini Fendi, Maria Grazia Curie née Dior, Marc Jacobs who looked (and sounded) more collected than ever, and Stella McCartney, who, as always, took it upon herself to take an iconic selfie with this year's leading judges. Footage of the Israeli-Hollywood star uploading to her Insta feed accompanied by the capitist: "Show me a cooler jury than this, I'll wait..." But what really stole the show was the maddening androgynous ensemble Gadot wore.

The LVMH Award is open to young designers under the age of 40 who have presented and sold at least two ready-to-wear collections by women, men or unisex. It has previously been awarded to designers such as Marine Serre in 2017 or Nancy Dogeka (who dresses Zendaya and Kendall Jenner), and has even strengthened the careers of non-top-ranked winners such as Jacquemus. According to Delphine Arnault, the daughter of the CEO of LVMH and the richest man in the world, who was appointed earlier this year to run the Dior fashion house, the jury reached a consensus without much deliberation.

"This time everyone agreed who was going to win," she announced in a press release. In such a high fashion climate, it is not surprising to choose Wonder Woman International. But beyond the fact that she is a superstar, the key role she received at the event of the ruling luxury corporation, which brings together Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Dior and more than 70 leading luxury fashion brands, completely strengthens her status as an undisputed fashion icon.

Taking her place on the podium, all eyes (and headlines) were literal on her. The 38-year-old actress and producer was as positive, uplifting and sweet as ever, and there was no evidence of the "impostor" syndrome she revealed in a recent interview with L'Officiel magazine. "Before I announce any names," she began her speech, "I want to say that you are all winning today, for us and for everyone watching around the world." And we missed a beat from the effortless, wrinkled, but oxymoronically also the tightest look Gadot wore. And our guess? All courtesy of the Louis Vuitton fashion house (which was part of the prestigious award).

The mother-of-three wore a white button-down that 'boasted' all-over fine lines, whose sleeves were deliberately rolled up carelessly and paired with a black midi skirt, also wrinkled, with a high waistline and two pockets, which Gadot did not hesitate to use. The highlight of the look was actually the complementary items: a classic black tie but again, wrinkled, which seemed to be worn loosely on the open collar of her shirt and dangled down to the skirt, flat oxfords with laces (which we found in the LV men's collection), and bling in abundance.

As an ambassador for Tiffany & Co., Gadot made sure to wave (literally) the jewelry she wore, both on the podium when presenting the award, and when she later answered journalists' questions and shared her thoughts on the winners and the importance of the prize. On her wrists she loaded a variety of bracelets from the luxury jewelry brand's most iconic collections, a number of delicate rings were also recorded, and her neck was adorned with a thin chain with a plump heart pendant in the center. The makeup was very natural, to almost invisible, and the hair remained true to her signature look - subtle waves, a raised side walkway, and one ear exposed. On her way to the covered event, Gadot was caught in paparazzi lenses wearing black sunglasses with a narrow oval silhouette and holding a black handbag.
