Chicken fricassee always tastes good, but especially good as a stir-fry with gnocchi. The recipe for chicken fricassee gnocchi stir-fry can be found here. © Simply Tasty
If you're in the mood for traditional home cooking but don't have time to cook, this stir-fry with creamy chicken fricassee and gnocchi is just what you're looking for.
Traditionally, chicken fricassee is served with rice or potatoes and is most often a logical by-product (or the secret star?) of a classic chicken broth. At Einfach Tasty, we love delicious dishes that we grew up with, but give them a modern twist every now and then. So we already had a creamy chicken fricassee with toast bread in a casserole and fish fingers with remoulade wrapped as burrito.
As mentioned at the beginning, grandma already served potatoes with chicken fricassee. Since the Italian side dish gnocchi actually consists only of potatoes, it should also go well with the chicken fricassee, right?
This is how easy and quick the chicken fricassee gnocchi pan is to prepare:
These ingredients are needed for the creamy pan with gnocchi and chicken:
- 50 g butter
- 400 g chicken breast fillet, diced
- 70 g onions, diced
- 100 g mushrooms, quartered
- 200 g white asparagus, peeled and cut into pieces
- 150 g carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 10 g of wheat flour
- 300 ml of milk
- 200 ml chicken broth
- 100 ml white wine
- 500 g gnocchi
- 100 g peas
- Parsley, to taste
All you need to prepare it is a large pan:
