What an insult. Bieber's tweet (Photo: screenshot, Twitter)
Jeremy Bieber, the father of singerJustin Bieber, took advantage of the opening of Pride Month events and instead of spreading some light, chose poison and hatred. After posting homophobic tweets, he issued a full passive-aggressive apology and caused a storm online.
Bieber Sr. posted a tweet earlier this week saying, "We need to celebrate the existence of families. You know the real reason we're all here! The things that this generation praises are unbelievable!" Two days later, he tweeted another meme, which has since been deleted, that read against the backdrop of the gay flag: "Don't forget this month to thank the straight man for your existence." Followers, for their part, didn't have to, expressing their outrage at the primitive messages: "Don't forget to thank Justin Bieber this month for the bills he paid you," wrote one follower.
He has since posted another disgusting tweet, writing: "Acknowledging the nuclear family is offensive? I apologize to anyone offended, that was not the intention. Not that my opinion matters." Followers didn't give up on him this time either, attacking him for his passive-aggressive apology: "Yes! Thank you to the straight man who abandoned his wife and left her to raise their son alone. You are definitely an exemplary example of family values, respect and love," wrote one, along with other comments that made sure to remind him of the very non-traditional family structure he himself created, having four children by three different women and even abandoning Justin's mother, Patty Melet, to raise their son for their son.
