(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 09 - "The situation is tense in all areas of the front": writes on Telegram the Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense, Hanna Malyar, underlining that the Russians are unable to achieve their objectives.

Loud explosions were heard this morning on the outskirts of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, according to RBC-Ukraine, citing local Telegram channels. Police in the region of the same name are urging residents to take cover in bomb shelters.
"Very brutal battles are underway, but we are seeing results," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said last night, stressing that Kiev forces could gain territory in the Donetsk region, which is largely occupied by Russia. This was reported by the Kyiv Independent.
