Meloni's interview at the 'Forum in Masseria' da Vespa, at the third edition of the 'L'Italia che verrà' cycle of forums. During the interview, the Prime Minister addressed various topics.

"We try to free up resources to put them where they are needed: in Italy there is a problem of wages, the goal is to make the cut of the wedge structural, it depends on state revenues, which depend on growth". This was stated by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, interviewed by Bruno Vespa at the forum 'L'Italia che verrà' at Masseria Li Reni.

"The most important figure is the Italian GDP that grows above the European average. The government has to give its signals, the economy responds and is doing so, but it is not a flash in the pan. Italy has reached the historical record of number of employees and stable contracts, and everything is driven by female employment".

"On
the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, I would like to bring the victims or relatives of the victims, to tell their story in schools. Nothing is more educational," Meloni stressed. "On culture is the great challenge: I hope that in the parliamentary passage of our rules against femicide it is a ground to find a cross-party agreement. I am very willing to work together and meet those who work there, not just women".

MIGRANTS
On Tunisia "I am working daily, on Sunday I, von der Leyen and Dutch Prime Minister Rutte will go. I have already been there on Tuesday, and it is thanks to the very valuable work that Italy has done, together with that mission, that the first aid package of the commission should be concretized, which is also preparatory to favoring the agreement with the IMF. I ask Tunisia and the IMF for an approach that is as pragmatic and non-ideological as possible and it seems to me that progress is being made on this".

"Even
more than these gentlemen who want to prevent a minister from speaking, I am amazed that the secretary of the Democratic Party says that we are allergic to dissent: if she confuses dissent with authoritarianism we have a problem. I urge Italians to believe that we are in a regime of authoritarianism."
"I know that the concern of the secretary of the Democratic Party is real, not instrumental, she is really worried. I want to reassure you: the center-right has always defended the freedoms of citizens, families and businesses, this we are demonstrating and Italians understand it". The Prime Minister said this in response to a question about Elly Schlein's fears of authoritarian measures by the government. "If the new course of the Democratic Party is to go straight on the road that led them to electoral defeat - added the premier -, I am no one to tell them to change strategy".

The ESM is an issue that it would be stupid to open now, for two reasons: the first is that I have not changed my mind about the ESM, but it is part of a series of tools that must be discussed as a whole. It has not been able to ratify its reform if you do not know what the new Stability and Growth Pact provides. I am not convinced by the committee's proposal."
"The ESM is a stigma that now risks holding resources to block at a time when we are all looking for resources: then it would not be used by anyone," she said. "I hope that this issue will be addressed in a pragmatic way and not as in Italy, in an ideological way. Ratifying the reform without understanding the mechanism that follows would be stupid."
'I am not convinced by the Commission's proposal' to reform the Stability and Growth Pact. This was stated by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, interviewed by Bruno Vespa at the forum 'L'Italia che verrà' at Masseria Li Reni, answering a question on the Mes.
