Who can answer the eternal question: how do we manage to be happy? Robert Waldinger can. This doctor of psychiatry and professor at Harvard Medical School leads the longest scientific study ever conducted on adult life, happiness and health. The "Harvard Study of Adult Development", conducted by Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, began in 1938, 85 years ago, with 724 adolescents (286 students from Harvard University and 456 children from the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Boston). Today, the study has expanded to their partners and their 1300 descendants over two generations.
