(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 09 - Some batches of tuna sauce and radicchio sold under the brands Cucina Nostrana, Freschi Bontà and I Freschissimi have been recalled from the shelves for the possible presence of the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. This was announced by the Ministry of Health which reported the precautionary recall on the portal.
All the brands were produced by the company CucinaNostrana Unipersonale in the Martellago plant, near Venice. The products are sold in trays of 250 grams and 4are the lots and deadlines: Cucina Nostrana, lot number 23213 and expiry date 23/06/2023; Fresh goodness sold in Pam Panorama supermarkets, lot number 23215 and expiry date 25/06/2023; The Freschissimi of the Alì chain with lot numbers 23212 and 23214 with expiry dates 22/06/2023 and 24/06/2023. Listeriosis, the disease caused by Listeria, typically occurs as gastroenteritis within hours of ingesting contaminated food. In some rare cases it can lead to the onset of meningitis, encephalitis and septicemia.
