Due to a possible risk of injury, Alnatura has recalled a veggie spread. There could be metal splinters in the product. Two other manufacturers are recalling products.
Kassel – The wave of recalls of vegetarian products due to metallic foreign bodies continues unabated. Most recently, there was the urgent Rewe recall of a vegan substitute product, and there was also a warning against the consumption of certain tofu products due to the risk of injury. Now it's hitting the next veggie food. Consumers are warned against enjoying a vegan vegetable spread. The "spinach walnut spread" should not be consumed under any circumstances, warns manufacturer Alnatura. Tartex and Allos products containing spinach are also affected.

Urgent recall launched: Risk of injury to Alnatura spread
The recall of Alnatura's savoury organic spread is a precautionary measure. There is a possibility that there are metal splinters in the products, warns consumer protection. "It cannot be ruled out that metal contaminants have entered individual jars of the product via the ingredient spinach," informs the manufacturer Alnatura. For this reason, consumers should not consume the spread under any circumstances.

Metal splinters in food – there is a risk of injury to customers if consumed
Metallic foreign bodies in food pose an immediate threat to health. If sharp-edged particles are swallowed, serious injuries to the mouth and throat area can occur. In the worst case, these foreign bodies can lead to internal injuries or bleeding.
