"I'm still scared, I'm still shocked," said Lou, 10, a schoolgirl in Annecy (Haute-Savoie), a few hours after the knife attack that injured six including four children aged 22 to 36 months. To show their support for the victims and their emotion, many Annecy residents and tourists gathered on the evening of Thursday, June 8, 2023, near the park where the tragedy was held. Drawings, candles and stuffed animals were deposited by onlookers, all moved.

"I had to come," says Gaëtan, a 32-year-old resident of the Haute-Savoie town. It was important, as an Annecian, to pay tribute to these people who have experienced dramatic things. Especially since the Parc du Pâquier, very close to the lake, where the attack took place yesterday, has a sentimental value for him: "Me, kid, I played here. I take my daughter there on weekends. "It could have happened to us too," says Cindy, also a mom.
The emotion also wins the holidaymakers, who come to visit the city and its lake. "We spent the day here, and we heard about this story," say Aurélien and Romi, tourists from Switzerland. "It's true that when it affects children, it always does something," adds Romi.
