There is no leaf between many pet siblings - as is the case with Border Collie Willy and Golden Retriever Jax. But Willy's patience has its limits, as this funny Instagram video shows.
On June 03, 2023, Golden Retriever Jax celebrated his first birthday - together with his beloved big brother Willy, a brown and white Border Collie. The celebration took place in a special bakery for dogs and at a subsequent pool party. The two get along brilliantly in everyday life and spend every free minute together. Willy is considerate of his little, still somewhat clumsy brother and he lovingly looks up to his chocolate-brown role model. The harmony seems perfect – until it comes to playing. Because here the great love of dogs has a sugar-sweet end, as a viral Instagram video of the two - to be seen on the account @officialwillygooddog - proves.
Border Collie Willy had a lot of patience with Jax at first
"Over the past year, Willy has had a lot of patience with Jax," the dog owners wrote. When playing, the considerate Border Collie always gave way to his cute dog brother when it came to catching balls or Frisbee discs. With every throw, the big brother kept considerately in the background and watched as his little protégé failed miserably and let the balls whiz past him. Admittedly, the teen goldie also looks too cute. But with his one-year birthday, Jax's grace period is over, according to the owners of the two dogs: "But now Jax is (already) one year old and Willy is losing patience."
Golden Retriever Jax has yet to learn how to catch
As much as Jax tries hard to catch the Frisbee discs, the clumsy Golden Retriever just doesn't want to succeed yet. And Willy apparently can't go on as before: "The Border Collie in him can only endure a lot to a limited extent." His dog's collar bursts and he puts an abrupt end to Jax's literal puppy protection: Every time Jax starts to catch, Willy is already on the spot and catches the thrown objects in a sporty and agile way. All that remains for Jax to do is to look at his skilful brother in the jump with his mouth still open and in great amazement – but rather dripped. He just doesn't seem to fit into a dog drawer, as his owners write: "He has great qualities, but he's not a retriever either."

The owners cheer Jax on tirelessly: "Keep trying, Jax" or "Never give up, Jax!" We, too, keep our fingers crossed for cute Goldie – so that one day he will be able to snatch the ball right in front of his impatient brother's nose.
