Dear summer: with the opening of the summer season many bathing establishments have made changes to their price lists by applying increases in rates to the public for numerous goods and services: explains the Codacons that has verified the prices on some of the most famous beaches in Italy.
It starts with the daily rates for umbrellas, sunbeds and deckchairs, which record average increases of + 10% / + 15% throughout Italy with peaks of + 25% compared to last year, as confirmed by the same managers who have spoken in these days of "inevitable" increases generated by the higher costs borne by them.
To rent an umbrella and two sunbeds during the weekend, in an average establishment, you spend between 30 and 35 euros per day this year, analyzes the Codacons. But there are borderline cases such as, for example, a gazebo in Salento that costs about 1,000 euros for a day.
It will also cost more to consume food and drinks at the shores, with average price increases between + 5% and + 10% on 2022 that will fall not only on the menus of restaurants on the beach but also on mineral water, fruit juices, beers, ice cream.
Considering the expense for the rent of 1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds, drinks at the beaches (sandwiches, water, ice cream, soft drinks, coffee), parking, fuel, a family with two children spends this year on average between 100 and 110 euros for a day at the beach, with an average burden of + 13.4% on 2022.
