Packaged in jars of 120 grams, this mozzarella belongs to lot L 199 (3560070949083). The use-by date (DLC) for this product was August 17, 2023. The dairy product is recalled for suspected listeria monocytogenes, an agent responsible for listeriosis.
Fever, headache, body aches,...
Rappel Conso has indicated to consumers the conduct to adopt in case of purchase of the product. The authorities therefore call on customers to "stop consuming" mozzarella, "return the product to the point of sale", "contact consumer service" or "destroy the product".
For good reason, listeriosis "is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks". Still according to Rappel Conso, it can lead to sepsis or infection of the central nervous system.
People who have consumed the product and who have "fever", "headache" and "body aches" are asked to "consult their doctor and report this consumption". Listeriosis can be especially severe in pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly.
The recall procedure is scheduled to end on Tuesday, August 29.
