"Those who appeal to the European Union are wrong," Le Pen continued, "because it is vain and dangerous. Vain because the European Union wants immigration, dangerous because it suggests that we are delegating to the European Union the decision on the immigration policy that we must conduct. It is up to the French people to decide and their decision must be respected."
